What are your top priorities for a premium cat food?

My cat eats a 6-oz can of cat food a day — I’m trying to look for a good food that’s also economical. Right now he eats mostly Wellness & EVO (around $1.49-$1.60/can), but I wonder if there are less expensive but just-as-healthy alternatives. [...]
