One morning in January, I found Cheetah outside my bedroom door, semi-conscious, lying in the rain. He was soaked through to the skin. I rushed him to the vet, who told me that had I brought him half an hour later, he would not have made it. The doctor diagnosed Cheetah with diabetes and said that Cheetah needed to remain in hospital for a week to be monitored.
When I got home, I immediately got onto the internet to try and learn more about feline diabetes – something I never knew existed, let alone would affect my cat! Cheetah is a 12 year old ginger cat and we have fed him a healthy diet of balanced wet and dried cat food…(or so I thought until I started reading what I found on the internet!). In the past 5 years Cheetah gradually became less active and developed urinary tract problems at times, for which the doctor put him on a Science prescription diet. Cheetah has never been overweight and in the past year or so has gradually gotten thinner. We saw all this as “natural developments” of “old age”. He also drank water almost continuously from the fish tank.
I realised that my cat would have to be dependent on insulin for the rest of his life and that there was no cure for feline diabetes. Having taken herbal supplements and medicine myself for most of my life, I started searching for possible herbal or homoeopathic remedies that might support my diabetic cat. This is when I stumbled upon the Petremedy. I just needed to read two testimonials and immediately ordered a bottle.
The order was processed very fast and when Cheetah returned home from hospital a week later, the Petremedy had arrived and I could start him on it immediately.
When he returned home, Cheetah was still in a bad state. The vet said that I needed to watch him closely and I had to inject him with insulin twice a day. Although the doctor suggested I continue with his previous diet, I decided to change completely to the protein diet. I didn’t quite know what meat to choose, since Cheetah previously only ate Whiskas fish and wouldn’t touch anything else. Cheetah was very disorientated when he got home and for the first 3 days he hid under beds and I had to hand feed him in order that I could give him his insulin shots. By the fourth day he started recognising his environment again and ventured outside, but still keeping close to the house.
The vet wanted to see him a week later and needed him for a day to do regular glucose level tests. When I fetched him the evening, the vet said that something very strange was happening with my cat – he had never seen a cat with the glucose levels that Cheetah had the last week, go totally to the other extreme. He said I should stop the insulin immediately, as Cheetah had gone hypoglycemic! He suggested I bring him back again in a week to see what was happening to his glucose levels. After the second week, when I took Cheetah back for another test, there was a young vet who had never treated Cheetah before. From the file he knew that Cheetah was diabetic, but when he looked at the test results, he thought he had the wrong file! He said there were no traces whatsoever of the diabetes!
Needless to say, I am religiously continuing with Cheetah’s Petremedy. In the mean time, Cheetah has developed a taste for chicken. He has put on some weight (after being a mere skeleton), his turned soft and silky and the most amazing thing is his energy levels. He is acting like a young kitten again. He plays with the carpet, is out patrolling his territory at night and even jumps on to 2 meter-high cupboards again (like he used to do when he was about 3 or 4 years old)! Cheetah’s improvement has been just miraculous. I want to thank Wellness Support Network for their wonderful research. Not only do they have a miracle product that saved Cheetah‘s life, but their friendly, caring and sterling service is a rare attribute in today’s world. I hope more animals will benefit from this wonderful remedy.
[I am a bona fide user of Petremdy for my pet and can only report on the effect it had on my own cat's diabetic state. I am not affiliated to and do not get compensation by Wellness Support Network for this testimonial]
